The Doctor Who Giveaway and Matt Smith on the Iconic Role

The much anticipated premiere of the new Doctor Who is just one week away. And a brand new Doctor, played by Matt Smith, will be jumping in his TARDIS and setting out on a fresh set of adventures starting on April 17th on BBC America at 9:00 PM.

A grand total of 11 actors have played the time traveling Doctor on TV. And another 24 have captured the character on stage and in audio books, webcasts, and TV spoofs. So it must be a daunting task to take on the beloved role.
