Win a Copy of BBC America's Life

We’re not really nature show people unless there’s some kind of primate featured prominently (and if said ape should speak, all the better). But we were surprisingly captivated by the recent BBC America series Life which recently aired on the Discovery Channel.

The 11-part documentary was narrated by force of nature, Oprah Winfrey, and captured breathtaking footage shot over a period of 3,000 days, across every continent. The series presents 130 incredible stories from the frontiers of the natural world, and details the extraordinary tactics that plants and animals have developed to stay alive, overcome challenges, and push the boundaries of behavior. And yes, there was a monkey or two.

If you missed it, don’t despair. On June 1st the series will be widely released and available at major retailers on both DVD and Blu-ray (retail value: $59.99), and will include never-before-seen “deleted scenes” bonus features, and the 11th episode entitled, “The Making of Life.” And we’re happy to announce we have a DVD copy to give away to one lucky winner.
