With all the well-deserved praise being showered on Betty White these days, a more seasoned circle of actors is getting a second chance at fame.
Last week Bob Newhart celebrated his 50th Anniversary in show business at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Yes, 50 years and Bob is still going strong – touring the country doing stand-up and saving the otherwise kind of lame Lost series finale with a surprise Newhart themed spoof on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
So what should Bob do next? Another comedy album, perhaps? Maybe he should be the next senior to host Saturday Night Live? Or is it time for another sitcom with his name in the title. Maybe he could play a doorman and they could call it Hi, Bob?
