Only diehard fans of “The Bob Newhart Show” will remember
that a few changes were made between the pilot and the rest of the series. First
of all, there’s no mention of a certain airline pilot named Howard Borden
living across the hall. And, believe it or not, Bob and Jerry didn't have a
receptionist.
That’s right, Marcia Wallace did not make her debut as the
sassy secretary until the second “Bob Newhart” show was taped. But Wallace
actually met Bob before she took on that fateful role. Find out where in this
