Sharon Gless is no stranger to Emmy nominations. In fact this most recent one for Burn Notice is number ten, including two wins for Cagney & Lacey. On her blog she wrote, "One of the press interviews I gave looked it up and informed me that this is my 10th nomination. Wow. Even I was stunned. I am glad someone out there is keeping score. :)"
She continued saying that the nod was bittersweet since no one else in the cast was recognized, but she added, "I like to think that this nomination finally opens the door for Burn Notice to be, well, noticed." So Sharon will pick one of her sequin dresses and walk the red carpet in solidarity with her fellow actors.
In this interview with the Archive of American Television, she talked about playing Madeline Westen on Burn Notice, how she got the gig, her reunion with Cagney & Lacey co-star Tyne Daly, and the current state of TV roles for women of her generation.
