Katy Perry, Paul McCartney, and Javier Bardem on Glee?

You might think that Glee is in summer reruns, so all is quiet on the show choir front. But that couldn't be further from the truth. Just last week the cast performed at a Glee Academy Event in Los Angeles and the week before that they held a panel at Comic-Con in San Diego.

Plus the guest star rumor mill is swirling. So far Producer Ryan Murphy has confirmed the return of both Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, as well as the appearance of John Stamos as Emma's dentist/love interest.

Still only in the rumor stages are Sir Paul McCartney (who allegedly is in talks to do the post-Super Bowl episode) and Javier Bardem (who is confirmed in some sources and declared complete hogwash in others).

A lot of fans have their own ideas who should guest star on Glee. One group has started a Facebook page to get singer Katy Perry on the show. Zach at UltimateGleeks started the page called "Ultimate Gleeks Wants To Get Katy Perry On GLEE!" which currently has over 2100 fans.

He says, "She has one of those looks where she could play just about anyone. She could easily get away with playing a student, or a faculty member. She's one of the greatest contraltos to hit the pop music scene in the past 20 years. She would sound killer doing duets with several of the cast." If you agree with Zach log on to the page and "Like" them.

And if you want to see what dream guest stars the cast of Glee has in mind themselves, check out this video we shot for the Archive of American Television.
