The Days of our Lives Celebrates 45 Years

Forty-five years ago today sand started sifting through the hour glass as The Days of our Lives premiered. This milestone makes it the second longest running show in daytime history (behind only General Hospital).

If you're a Days fan, be sure to visit the 45th Anniversary special features on the website. There are incredible classic photos from the early days of production (with some amazing pics of a very young and in love Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth). We attended the red carpet event Celebrating 45 Years of Days of Our Lives on behalf of the Archive of American Television. We asked the cast how it felt to be involved with this special occasion.
