Fireworks, Brewskies and a Big Birthday Bash

On July 4, 1976, the nation celebrates the bicentennial. Americans honor the country’s birthday in their own special ways. Neighbors gather for parades and barbeques. Tourists visit historic landmarks. Gerry Ford and the Mrs. cuddle under the fireworks at the National Mall. Plenty of folks settle in with a burger and a red, white and blue brewski. And some, we’re not mentioning any names here, opt for a screening of the musical version of the birth of the nation, 1776.
