We’re really enjoying the sweet TV treat Top Chef: Just Desserts. The delicious spinoff from the savory Top Chef series features a kitchen full of cupcake and chocolate making culinary contestants baking their hearts out for the top prize. And among the hopefuls is Danielle Keene—the 29-year-old pastry chef and owner of Bittersweet, who resides in South Pasadena, California.

According to her bio, Danielle has trained at some of L.A.’s finest restaurants including Water Grill, Campanile, and A.O.C. But it’s the Ice Cream Shoppe Night’s that she started at Wilshire restaurant that put her on the city’s very competitive culinary map.

Now, she has her own online business called Bittersweet. The snack-cravers dream destination offers everything from cookies to cakes to full blown ice cream socials delivered to your home.

So far, Danielle has been maintaining a steady spot in the middle ground of Top Chef: Just Desserts. She hasn’t suffered a fallen cake or a crying jag like some of her co-contestants. But she hasn’t exactly knocked the judges socks off with her confections either.

We’ll be keeping watch on her progress and will let you know how this So Cal local is fairing as the show heats up.
