Don’t Miss the Hollywood Xpo

If you’re a Los Angeles based pop culture fan and you’re looking for something to do this weekend, boy do we have great news for you. Hollywood Xpo is coming to the Burbank-adjacent Hilton Universal City from October 15 to 17. And, trust us, you aren’t going to want to miss it.

Over 100 stars will be on hand to address fans and sign autographs during the course of this three-day event. And there’s something for everyone.

As with any good entertainment themed convention, Star Trek fans are being well served. Prior to the Xpo kick-off on Friday, there will be a special Thursday night screening of Star Trek: Of Gods and Men. The three-part Internet mini-series unites cast members from all five series and many of them will be on hand for a special on-stage appearance at the Hollywood Xpo on Friday. So, Trekkies should be thrilled to see Chekov (Walter Koenig) and Uhura (Nichelle Nichols) shaking hands with Captain John Harriman (Alan Ruck) and Tuvok (Tim Russ).

If you’re a sci-fi fan but Star Trek isn’t your show, you might be as excited as we are about the Lost in Space reunion with Bill Mumy, June Lockhart, and Mark Goddard. Or maybe you want to catch the Heroes cast’s first public get together since their cancellation featuring Jack Coleman, Eric Roberts, Erick Avari, and Nichelle Nichols (seems like she’ll be popping up a lot over the weekend).

Film fans will want to catch the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off reunion with Cindy Pickett, Edie McClurg, and Alan Ruck. While comic book collectors will have a chance to meet the master, Stan Lee.

Saturday Night Live enthusiasts can catch up with Connie Conehead herself, Laraine Newman. Happy Days devotees can ask Erin Moran if she knows how much Joanie influenced teenage girls. And followers of the real space program can see Buzz Aldrin in person.

And that’s just scratching the surface.

If you can’t make it to the Xpo, don’t worry. We’ll be bringing you coverage as the event unfolds.

Hollywood Xpo tickets are available in advance (www.hollywoodxpo.com) or at the door. Three-day general admission tickets are $75, and single day general admission tickets are $25 Friday, $30 Saturday, and $25 Sunday. Children and youths 17 and under are admitted free with a paying adult.

Special premium reserved seating packages as well as special event tickets are available in advance through the Hollywood Xpo website.

When the exhibit hall closes on Friday and Saturday night, all Hollywood Xpo ticketholders are invited to stay and enjoy a variety of special film screenings hosted by celebrities and production talent. For complete event information, visit www.hollywoodxpo.com or call 323-774-1458.

We can’t wait to go so all we can say is… “Danger, Will Robinson”… uh, “Beuller? Anybody? Anybody?”… sorry, we meant, “Beam us up, Scotty!”
