Every once in a while the reality TV planets align and
create a practically perfect evening of viewing. Tonight is such a night. In
addition to regular episodes of Survivor
and Hell’s Kitchen, the reality gods
are bringing us two season finales, two season premieres and one really scary
crossover. Here are five reasons why tonight is filling us with glee.
America’s Next Top Model Finale
(The CW at 8:00 p.m. PST / 7:00 p.m. Central)
Despite
the fact that the gorgeously gawky Ann dominated in early photo challenges
(earning the distinction of being the first competitor in history to have the
best shot five weeks in a row), she has faltered. But where Ann shines in front
of the still camera, does she really have what it takes to beat Chelsey in a
walk-off at a Roberto Cavalli runway show? We hope so, but we aren’t so sure.
Ghost Hunters: Taps Meets The Real Housewives of Atlanta (Syfy at 9:00 p.m. PST / 8:00 p.m. Central)
Let’s face
it. The Real Housewives of Atlanta have been scaring people for years. But
tonight the tables will be turned when one of TV’s most creative crossovers
hits the airwaves (or cable lines). A very special episode of the Syfy show
Ghost Hunters will welcome three of Atlanta’s best and most easily spooked — Kim
Zolciak, NeNe Leakes and Sheree Whitfield. We just hope Kim can keep her wig
on.
Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew: Season 4
Premiere (VH1 at 10:00 p.m. PST / 9:00 p.m. Central)
This
season of Celebrity Rehab was delayed several times because Dr. Drew just
couldn’t seem to find a big enough to celebrity to bare it all during a stint
at his Pasadena Recovery Center. That’s hard to believe considering what a
great cast of characters has checked in to work with Drew. Here’s the rundown
of stars — eccentric socialite Jason “Gummi Bear” Davis, unpredictable
supermodel Janice Dickinson, former-teen heartthrob Leif Garrett, Party of
Five’s Jeremy London, Keisha’s mom Frankie Los, Tiger Wood’s mistress Rachel
Uchitel, Lauren Conrad’s ex Jason Wahler and Oscar nominated actor and Julia’s
brother Eric Roberts. We can’t wait to see how one therapy room can hold that
many out of control superegos.
The Arrangement: Season 1
Finale (LOGO at 10:00 p.m. PST / 9:00 p.m. Central)
It took a
few episodes for this show to grow on us, but eventually our love for the Logo
series blossomed. Now we can’t wait to see which contestant is the final flower
in the Arrangement. We, of course, are rooting for Burbank’s local punk rock
florist Tenley Young.
Top Chef: All Stars Season Premiere (Bravo at 10:00 p.m. PST / 9:00 p.m. Central)
We had
withdrawals from the Top Chef franchise last week — anxiously awaiting the Top
Chef: All Stars premiere that will no doubt fill the Just Deserts gap. And
leave it to Bravo to whip up a cast that best represents the finest and
freakiest competitors of all time. Who doesn’t want to watch the oddball sommelier
Stephen Asprinio go head-to-head with the molecular gastronomy master Marcel
Vigneron. Plus we hear that some of the most talented competitors choke early
on, so it should be a delicious season.
