A celeb
teams with Frigidaire to teach kids to cook, a singer-songwriter pens a
poem for the homeless and a pop icon stages a concert for gay rights. Here are this week's most
inspirational pop culture moments.
Jennifer Garner and Frigidaire Launch the Good-For-You Cooking Academy
In a world
of chicken fingers and pizza bites, it’s not always easy to get kids to eat
right. Even celebrity moms can relate to the challenge. That’s why Jennifer
Garner has teamed up with Frigidaire to be the face of the Good-For-You Cooking Academy. The new web series debuted on Tuesday with one simple mission,
“to inspire your family to get cooking together.”
Plus
there’s an added benefit. For each new member on the site, Frigidaire
will contribute $1 to
Save the Children. According to the charity’s website, they are “the leading
independent organization creating lasting change in the lives of children in
need in the United States and around the world.”
The Good-For You Cooking Academy is packed with helpful
kitchen hints for cooking with kids, recipes, and video demos with celebrity
chef Mary Sue Milliken of Border Grill and Two Hot Tamales fame. So grab the
little ones, sign up and start making cauliflower popcorn today.
