This week on The Middle, Sue Heck is going to meet her soulmate. No it’s not a new guy, it’s her guidance counselor played by Whoopi Goldberg. In a recent exclusive interview we talked about Sher's favorite concert, what she’s passionate about and who in history she’d like to be for one day.
PCP: Sue Heck lived her dream going to the Justin Bieber concert. What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
ES: Hands down, no question, and I say this because it was the third happiest experience of my entire life, was Katy Perry. I went to a Katy Perry concert and I experienced pure bliss for the first time in my life.
PCP: What are you passionate about?
ES: So many things… There’s the serious answer and then there’s the other answer which is kind of just as serious but not really. In terms of if I was actually to explain to someone how I live my day-to-day life, this book really changed my life. It’s called ‘Full Frontal Feminism.’ And I would say that, actively, feminism is a huge passion of mine. But other than that on a less serious note I’d have to stay unicorns, glitter and the Dominoes Pizza Tracker.
PCP: If you could choose one pop culture icon from all time and walk in their shoes for one day, who would you choose and why?
ES: Lucille Ball, no question. She was an extremely powerful lady in a time where you did not have powerful ladies. And she just did not take any horse pooh from anyone. She had a vision and she executed it so beautifully and I would love to have known what was happening in her brain for five minutes.
Watch Whoopi Goldberg with Eden Sher on The Middle this Wednesday night at 8 p.m. EST/7 p.m. Central on ABC.
