when she was just nine years old. Before she was old enough to legally drink, she had been nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical for Spring Awakening. And now, at 23, she’s one of the Screen Actor’s Guild Ensemble in a Comedy winners for Glee.We assumed that being a busy actress since childhood probably meant that Lea didn’t have the kind of high school experience that her character Rachel Berry enjoys at McKinley High. But we were wrong. At a recent event that we filmed for the Archive of American Television, Lea told us about her pretty normal teen years, and the personality trait she shares with Rachel.
