Round 3: Best Sitcom in TV History

Wow, we thought it was tough last week when we were voting for the tvseriesfinale.com Best Sitcom in TV History contest. With eight to ten choices in each decade, the decision for that era’s top show seemed difficult to make.

Now comes Round 3 and the field has been narrowed to two shows in each category. It’s practically impossible to decide between I Love Lucy and The Honeymooners in the ‘50s. And really, what makes The Cosby Show better than Cheers, or vice-versa, in the ‘80s?

We’ve cast our votes, and again, we’re willing to share what might be unpopular opinions. All we can say if at the end of the day, The Big Bang Theory beats The Dick Van Dyke Show, we’re unplugging our TV’s and getting day jobs.

Please keep that in mind as you cast your ballots in Round 3.

Here are our picks:

The Best Sitcom of the 1950’s:
Passionistas Choice: I Love Lucy

The Best Sitcom of the 1960’s:
Passionistas Choice: The Dick Van Dyke Show

The Best Sitcom of the 1970’s:
Passionistas Choice: All in the Family

The Best Sitcom of the 1980’s:
Passionistas Choice: The Cosby Show

The Best Sitcom of the 1990’s:
Passionistas Choice: Seinfeld

The Best Sitcom of the 2000’s:
Passionistas Choice: Everybody Loves Raymond
