George Clooney Sums up The American

Have you missed Clooney on the big screen lately? It’s been about nine months since we last saw him in a movie, the very timely lay-off pic Up in the Air. We, personally long for the days when you could catch George every week, but those days are long gone.

These days he spends most of his time hanging in Italy with his lovely girlfriend Elisabetta and launching charity fundraising specials whenever something goes wrong somewhere.

We caught up with George last weekend at the Emmys, where he was honored with the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award. Not surprisingly, he talked mostly about the honor and his TV days. But he also managed to very, very succinctly sum up his new movie The American, which opens in theaters today.

Here’s what he had to say.
