'Wipeout' Holding Open Casting Call

Have you always dreamed of going on national TV and making a fool of yourself? Well this might be your chance. ABC is holding open auditions for the television game show Wipeout on February 12 in Burbank, California.

On each episode of Wipeout 24 contestants battle it out on the world's largest obstacle course to win the $50,000 prize. If you live in the Southern California area, head over to MysticArt Pictures in Burbank on on February 12. They are looking for "dynamic men and women" over the age of 18. You must be a legal U.S. resident with strong swimming skills (remember, most of the contestants fall into the giant pool on several occasions). You also must be "fun, strong-willed, outgoing and have a great sense of humor."

But don't despair. If you're not in Los Angeles, you can still submit your profile online and try to get a private audition.

If interested go to the casting site and fill out the online application. You will need to print a copy and bring it to the auditions along with your driver's license, a recent photo of yourself and your proof of health insurance (ouch!).

The show is produced by Endemol USA, who also created Fear Factor and Deal or No Deal. They encourage prospective contestants to be creative, saying, "Anything you can do to get our attention is fantastic! Show us your personality! Come dressed in a costume, sing a song, show us your battle cry for the start of the course, do your 'I just won $50,000' victory dance… don't be afraid to think outside the box!"
