At Long Last, A Simple Way to Find Cookies

We are pretty certain there is an app for just about everything these days. But perhaps one of the best we've heard of lately is a GPS for Girl Scout Cookies. It's that time of year again and whether your passion is Thin Mints or Samoas, your iPhone can track them down for you.

The new Girl Scout Cookie Locator by The Kellogg Company is free on iTunes and will help you find the nearest place to buy the tasty treats. Simply type in your zip code and your confectionery dreams will be answered.

With the app you can get addresses for local sales, get details about the flavors and take a cookie personality quiz. Currently it only works in certain markets so if you're not on this list below you'll have to get your cookies the old fashioned way — finding an actual girl scout who's hoping to outsell her troop mates and get the all important cookie badge.

The App works in Atlanta, Colorado, Dallas, Greater Chicago, Northwest Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Northern California, Northern Illinois, Northern New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, West Central Florida, Oregon, Southwest Washington, San Diego, Southwest Texas and Washington, D.C. What, no Los Angeles? We might be forced take a road trip to San Diego just to try it out. It's a long way to go for a Tagalong but it's worth it.
