Bandages for the Soul

There's a lot of tension in the air these days and a lot of hurt going around. But sometimes you just need something silly to take your mind off a problem. And Accoutrements, a novelty product website, has just the thing to cheer you up when life's little scrapes get you down — literally.

Check out these fancy bandages decorated with everything you can possibly imagine. It's the modern day version of signing someone's cast, a way to put a smile on your face and brighten up a wound instead of masking it.

The next time you cut your finger in the kitchen why not wrap it up with a cupcake bandage? Or if you bump your forehead on that bathroom cabinet door again, why not seal it with a Boo Boo Kiss? If you need a little comfort, slip on a mac and cheese bandage. For those who believe in the healing power of Jesus, you can use him to cover up a that scratch. And if you find yourself in a pickle, they have those, too.

Other bandages have themes like Abe Lincoln, crime scene tape, pirates, monsters, mustaches and rainbow monkeys. And of course the assortment would not be complete without everyone's favorite food group these days — bacon bandages.

So if life's stresses are making you clumsy, the next time you get a paper cut opening a bill, slip on a smiley face bandage with a positive affirmation. Hearing "You're 100% awesome," might be the lift you need, even if it is a piece of gauze covered in sticky plastic.
