The Everyday App: Might Show You More Than You’re Ready to See

Warning: This app is not for the faint of heart. Maybe if you start out as a teen, the thought of seeing your face evolve from day to day sounds fascinating. Or maybe this is a tech tool you’d like to turn on your ever-growing toddler to generate precious memories — the modern equivalent of drawing height marker lines on the doorframe. But once you hit middle age you might want to take a deep breathe before you commit to the Everyday app.

Here’s the gist of it. All you have to do is take a picture of yourself every day on your iPhone. There’s a built in adjustable grid that helps you line up each snapshot that you take. Next you just make a time-lapse movie of the pics and voila you’ll age right before your very eyes.

You can even set a handy dandy reminder on your phone so you don’t skip a day. The Everyday app might be a painful reminder of your ever-present wrinkles, but it also might do you some good. As one user named jonsmac commented on the official iTunes preview page, “Using it to track my diet progress (or lack thereof) It's working, the app anyway. Diet, not so much.”

Visit the Everyday website for more info — they’re the masterminds behind the app.
